Ever have a 3 p.m. energy slump? I do. Especially when I’m back-to-back booked with clients, fielding editor interviews, and working with staff. The pace is kind of relentless, but I love it.
Somewhere in the mid-afternoon, it’s not uncommon for me to hit the proverbial wall, and when I do, it means time for some fresh air and hydration. My salon is only three blocks from Central Park, so I’ll frequently take a quickie walk (I’m talking 15 minutes tops), and quaff some lemonade diluted with spring water--refreshing and low in sugar.
